Noeleen Ferguson

Noeleen was appointed by Dalrymple Landcare Committee Inc. to the NQ Dry Tropics board in November 2007. Her special responsibility is Community Director.

She was born onto a cane farm in Brinsmead Valley near Cairns and worked for the Queensland Police Force stationed at several suburban Brisbane stations, Emerald and Ayr.  After ten years with the Queensland Police, Noeleen married into a cane farming family in the Ayr district.

In 1995, Noeleen and her husband sold the cane farm and purchased a cattle property near Charters Towers, where they reside today.

She was also P&F Secretary for St Francis Primary School in Ayr for several years.

Noeleen has a strong association with the land and is a member of various organisations including the 70 Mile Range Landcare Group, where Noeleen was one of 15 beef producer properties in this group.

She has been a member since 1995 and Secretary since 2001. Noeleen is also a member of Dalrymple Landcare Committee, Agforce, and Meat and Livestock Australia.
