40,000 hectares
of sugar, fruit and vegetable farms

Protected
25 hectares
of coastal vegetation

Reduced the use of fertiliser on
20,000 hectares of farmland near the
Great Barrier Reef

Improved
the quality of soil on
15,000 hectares
of land in the dry tropics region

We have removed barriers
to fish movement along
5,000 kilometres
of creeks and rivers

We have helped over
90 families in semi-urban areas
to protect native plants in their backyard

Directors and staff of NQ Dry Tropics have welcomed Dr Scott Crawford as the new Chief Executive Officer.

Scott has been with the community-based, natural resource management organisation for four years and he succeeds former CEO Bob Frazer who has moved onto lead the new Cape York natural resource management group.
