Reduced the use of fertiliser on
20,000 hectares of farmland near the
Great Barrier Reef

the quality of soil on
15,000 hectares
of land in the dry tropics region

We have removed barriers
to fish movement along
5,000 kilometres
of creeks and rivers

We have helped over
90 families in semi-urban areas
to protect native plants in their backyard

Weeds of Our Region

NQ Dry Tropics helps to coordinate the management of weeds. We have a plan (the Pest Management Strategy) that identifies target weeds in order of priority. It also outlines who is responsible for managing them.
