20,000 hectares of farmland near the
Great Barrier Reef

the quality of soil on
15,000 hectares
of land in the dry tropics region

We have removed barriers
to fish movement along
5,000 kilometres
of creeks and rivers

We have helped over
90 families in semi-urban areas
to protect native plants in their backyard

Clean Up Australia Day at Queens Beach

Bring gloves, drinking water and be sunsafe to join your community clean up at Queens Beach in Bowen.

Everyone is welcome and there will be a sausage sizzle lunch provided.

Meet on Queens Beach from 8am as two teams will pick up rubbish including tyres and other flotsam; starting at each end of the beach to meet in the middle.

The volunteers will beautify the beach after Yasi and save many sea creatures from being tangled or swallowing rubbish including plastic.

Plastic is a big problem to animals such as turtles as it is one of the causes of floating syndrome.

See you on Sunday 6 March and together we'll make a difference on Clean Up Australia Day.
