Are you a community group in the dry tropics region? If so, you could be elligible for up to $12,000 in funding for a project that contributes to the protection, conservation and restoration of coastal habitats such as endangered littoral rainforest and semi-evergreen vine thickets.
Community groups play a vital role in protecting, rehabilitating and restoring our coastline. NQ Dry Tropics’ Sustainable Coasts program aims to increase participation in natural resource management in the coastal region by providing funding for community groups to undertake on-ground activities.
Fill out an application form and submit it to karen.stapleton@nqdrytropics.com.au by 28 February 2012 (projects must be completed by 31 May 2012) or contact Karen on (07) 4724 3544 to check if you are eligible. Additional funding will be available on 1 July 2012 so watch this space for more information.
