For the last decade
NQ DRY TROPICS
has been working with people to
improve our environment

We work with about 40 community environment groups. Their interests are vast. Some focus on protecting plant or animal species, some focus on the coast, others are Landcare groups.
If your group hasn't been in contact with NQ Dry Tropics we strongly advise that you let us know you exist.
There is a lot we can help groups with. We can offer information, link groups with others and help them develop project ideas for funding and preparing funding submissions.
Our staff can also work out the needs of your group and ways to meet them. We also run training workshops.
If we know about your group we can tell you when funding is available and when we offer training.
Caring for our Coast - Community Resource Book provides guidance for coastal environment groups. It's available from NQ Dry Tropics.
Groups can apply for Community Action Grants from $5,000 to $20,000 to help protect and conserve Australia's environment.
Eligible community groups include: community groups involved in coastal rehabilitation, restoration and conservation; groups of farmers or land managers working on sustainable farming or improving natural resource management; Indigenous partnerships involved in protecting or improving the environment; and community groups involved in biodiversity conservation, environmental protection or managing natural resources.
