Online North Queensland Grants Hub up and running

NQ Dry Tropics has created an online North Queensland Grants Hub to simplify the grant experience for applicants.

The hub, located on NQ Dry Tropics’ website, has been designed to advise landcare groups, community groups and individuals about funding opportunities available for the NQ Dry Tropics Burdekin region.

Protecting Biodiversity project officer Jennifer Walker, who was involved in the hub design, said easy to understand information on how to apply for grants, and helpful grant writing tips featured.

“NQ Dry Tropics supports the Burdekin Dry Tropics community to sustainably manage its land and water resources,” Ms Walker said.

“Many individuals and community groups rely heavily on grants to undertake this work so we wanted to come up with a way to help them.

“The page is easy to navigate.  We’ve compiled a list of grants provided by NQ Dry Tropics and other organisations, including government departments and private companies.

“To obtain more information about a particular grant, just click on the button to show a hyperlink that will show you how to apply for the grant.

“This page will be updated regularly so I encourage community groups to visit it and to spread the word within their communities,” she said.
