On Country Officer develops job expertise by heading back to school
On Country Project Officer Jaeda Lenoy jumped at the chance to attend a RCS Grazing for Profit school in Charters Towers.
Jaeda works mainly on Birriah Country with the Landholders Driving Change team, part of the Queensland Government’s Reef Water Quality Program.
She’s been diving into best-practice grazing land management, erosion control, and monitoring techniques to support natural resource management, so attending the RCS grazing clinic was a natural next step.
It’s helping her build a deeper understanding of the complexities of grazing to strengthen her work out in the field.
Jaeda said it was great to learn from seasoned experts who don’t just talk the talk — they’ve walked the paddocks and know what works in the real world.
These grazing clinics are built with grass farmers in mind. That means relevant, hands-on info graziers can put to work straight away. They walk away with proven strategies to help boost pasture health, lift yields, and improve their bottom line.
The Landholders Driving Change (LDC2) project is funded by the Queensland Government through the Queensland Reef Water Quality Program.
