Last chance to apply for a grant to help develop management infrastructure
Get in quickly to take advantage of a grant to support your grazing business through the Grazing Resilience and Sustainable Solutions (GRASS) program.
Grants of up to $15,000 are available to producers to address land in poor or degraded condition.
Our grazing team will deliver one-on-one support and help develop a tailored land management plan.
Grant applications are to be submitted by 30 May 2025.
Participating in the GRASS program will enable you to access resources and identify actions to improve condition and productivity of poor land on your property.
It’ll also help you identify measures to prevent further degradation.
Grants can help you to undertake infrastructure improvements such as:
- fencing;
- water troughs; and
- erosion works.
The free, customised maps include information on:
- property infrastructure;
- land types;
- ground cover levels; and
- potential land condition hotspots.
The team will also support you to understand the:
- requirements of the reef protection regulations; and
- associated minimum standards for grazing in catchments that flow into the Great Barrier Reef lagoon.
